Michaela’s Story

Focusing on her future.

Michaela has been in and out of care since she was 12 as her birth parents could not cope with dealing with her and her sibling who had ADHD and high care needs.

Now she is older, Michaela lives alone in a supported housing project.

She went through a period of mixing with the wrong crowd, who frequently had her caught up in bad situations. On one of these occasions, Michaela had a wake-up call and she decided to focus on a new future by enrolling on a Diploma course for hair and media make up.

Now flourishing in the course with excellent attendance, Michaela wants to progress to the next level and wishes to pursue a career in beauty and media related industries.

In order to help Michaela achieve her goals, Buttle UK helped her with providing funding for the required equipment needed for the course. This included work books, make up kits and a uniform. We also helped to create a more stable living environment by providing a vacuum cleaner and kitchen utensils, all to aid Michaela in her everyday living skills.
