Your Family Your Voice: Growing up with relatives or Friends

Informal kinship care arrangements have created an invisible population who have little contact with local authorities. We commissioned two reports, researched by the University of Bristol and funded by the Big Lottery that together aimed to quantify and examine the circumstances where children are being brought up by relatives or friends through an informal arrangement.

The report is the first to ever give an accurate picture of how many children are living with kinship carers in the UK.
