Impact & Evaluation Manager

Location:           Victoria, London
Salary:               £33,500-£37,500 p.a.
Hours:               Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date:   29th January 2019

Buttle UK, the national children’s charity, is looking to recruit an Impact and Evaluation Manager to help it deliver its ambitious strategy.  We are looking for someone who will:

  • Help us to better understand the impact of our work through their skills and experience in social research methods (both qualitative and quantitative).
  • Commission new research, adding to our reputation for publishing ground-breaking studies on issues that affect children and young people living in poverty.
  • Make a significant contribution to both the strategic and operational development of the charity as it grows.

Buttle UK is different to most charities, because we directly fund – through our grant giving - vulnerable children and their families all across the UK.

This is a significant time for the charity.  We have developed an innovative and successful new approach to our grant giving – providing the vulnerable children and young people we support with a holistic package of funding, that not only helps them overcome a crisis, but removes the barriers to them unlocking their potential in the longer term.  We already have a reputation for the efficiency and effectiveness of our grant distribution but there is more we can do to improve this, while generating new learning that will allow us to continually innovate.

In addition, we commission research. Through our grant giving we hear about children and young people in circumstances that most people are unaware of - if these groups remain unacknowledged they will keep slipping through the net. The findings of our research projects have led directly to policy changes.

Closing date for applications is 29th January 2019 and interviews will take place on 8th February.
